You are not in your twenties any more and your body knows it. Weight loss for women in their forties is a whole different ball game  and should be handled that way. Women in their forties are going through a lot when it comes to their bodies, for example: hormonal imbalances, slower metabolisms, thyroid problems, you get it. Also, by the time you reach forty you have been so sleep deprived thanks to kids and work that your weight has gone up and down the scale as a result. It does not help that you have to cook meals for family members that are younger and can digest and metabolize foods that, at this age, you just can’t.

All those infomercials about fast weight loss diets and pills sound great, but in reality you should be very wary. “Fast” weight loss diets for women are usually gimmicks. Thousands of women have spent thousands of dollars on these types of diets only to be  disappointed. Just because your favorite celebrity or athlete is promoting it, should not be a guarantee that it works. It is important to remember that if it sounds way to good to be true, than it most likely is.
